All special events are held at Kedron-Wavell Services Club | Brisbane and include morning tea and working lunch. Accommodation options provided by the venue for attendees travelling outside of Brisbane available here.

Thursday 16th May - The not so everyday challenges of Property Management PME special event    Register here

Thursday 23rd May - PME 4 | Routine inspections, maintenance, and entry   Register here       

 This special one-day event presented by Stacey Holt will cover the following. 

  • Lessor obligations for maintenance. 
  • Definition of emergency and routine repairs.
  • Repair orders and QCAT.
  • Mould and rental property. Who is responsible?
  • Minimum Housing Standards.
  • Tenant obligations for maintenance and entry.  
  • Best practice procedures, risk management and the law regarding routine and emergency maintenance including tips on educating lessors and communicating effectively with tenants.  
  • Tenants’ options/rights if lessor does not carry out maintenance.

·         Best practice procedures and the law regarding lease renewals including rent and bond increases. 

·         Breach of agreement, ending the agreement early (tenants/break lease) law and best practice procedures.  

·         Rental properties for sale/sold, including entry, taking of photos, for sale signs, ending the tenancy, when there is a new lessor and more.

This special one-day event presented by Stacey Holt will cover the following. 

•      The ways to end a tenancy lawfully including gaining possession.  Ending a tenancy and gaining possession of the property are two different legal matters. 

•      The reasons a lessor can and cannot give a notice to leave, plus the reasons a tenant can and cannot give a notice of intention to leave.  

•      Vacates, the law and best practice including does a tenant have to be given an opportunity to rectify any matters after vacating.  

•      Tips on avoiding disputes with tenants regarding bonds and vacates, plus dealing with bond and vacate disputes. 

Thursday 22nd August - PME 7 | QCAT - what every property manager wants and needs to know  Register here         

This special one-day event presented by Stacey Holt will cover the following. 

This is an advanced Property Management education and training event.  

QCAT President Practice Guidelines which are required to be used when making application, responding to applications and more are included in this study.

·         Legislation reasonable knowledge of breaches by tenants and or lessors during and or end of tenancy are assumed. 

·         QCAT Form 2, best practice completion for an urgent and non-urgent application case studies. 

·         QCAT Form 8 counter application or submission. 

·         Tips for preparing and presenting in Tribunal. 

·         General information regarding other QCAT Forms, procedures including appeals. 

·         QCAT published decisions and appeals overview to ensure understanding and why it is important to know.

Platinum NON PME member office $220 per person.

Gold or Advisory Member office $240 per person.

 What happens after you register?

 When registration is made online and not paid for via PayPal which you do not have to use (click other payment when registering online), the registration ticket and invoice is sent to the email address provided upon registration.  A duplicate invoice from the Real Estate Excellence accounting program is emailed to the email address within 48 business hours of registration, if the payment method chosen is cheque, credit card (not using paypal) or direct deposit. If payment is made by PayPal, an Eventbrite invoice is provided as a tax invoice.

 Payment methods for training events

 Payment methods are direct deposit, cheque or credit card using PayPal online or pay by credit card online via invoice provided by  Real Estate Excellence. Real Estate Excellence provide a secure link with the invoice to pay via credit card without the need to use PayPal.

Dietary Requirements, workbooks, and tickets 

The training event includes morning tea. Please advise of any dietary requirements at least seven days prior to event by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. The workbook for the training will be emailed to registered attendees email address for printing or uploading to your device to bring to the event prior to the training day. Please bring your ticket on the day to register for the training.

Cancellation policy 

A full refund or credit voucher for future training is available if written notice of cancellation is received by the event organiser Real Estate Excellence no later than 7 days prior to the event. If the attendee/client cancels a ticket registration 7 clear days or less prior to a training event, 100% of the ticket price will be forfeited as a cancellation fee and a refund will not be provided. The ticket holders name is transferrable to another party within the same organisation up to and including the day prior to the event with written email notice from the ticket purchaser.

 Training events are subject to change of content and or cancellation by Real Estate Excellence and registered attendees are notified prior via email to the registered email address provided to the event if this occurs.

 Training registration is not available for other training organisations, commercial companies who provide services for the industry,  and or affiliated organisations. Training is for active licensees, real estate agents, property managers and staff in the industry, or individuals who wish to join the industry.
