The Lessor listing booklet (Folder 02 and 33) and the Lessor Disclosure best practice document has been updated due to above, and Minimum Housing Standards commencing 1st September 2023.
Folder 18 (ending a tenancy chapter) will also have an updated version.

The June 2023 Member Update is at Member login from 23rd May (latest Member update folder, then June 2023). The Member update was emailed to Members on the 24th May. The traditional Member update format was not provided this month due to the many matters happening in the Industry. Listen to short podcast here.

The June member update includes an updated best practice guide to assist in preparing for the rent frequency change laws commencing 1 July, best practice templates for lessors and tenants for tenancies affected by the changes, lessor information to provide. Plus, a lessor disclosure and instruction form to complete and return to agency as part of Minimum Housing Standards commencing 1 September, 2023.
Real Estate Excellence does not encourage Members to carry out any form of disclosure relating to the Minimum Housing Standards unless overtly obvious, such as no privacy coverings in a room the tenant would expect privacy, such as a bedroom. The lessor is required to disclose their property meets their legislative requirements.
There is also a new folder in the Latest Member update folder called 1 September 2023 (MHS laws), and 1 July 2023. (PME and Platinum NON PME Member offices.
